B-PC High School Principal's Message
Welcome to the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year! I am excited to be here and to be your Principal! I look forward to getting to know all of you at Bushnell-Prairie City High School as we begin the new calendar year with a fresh attempt to return to full time in-person learning. I look forward to the challenges that another semester brings under these unique circumstances. If we all work together, we can continue to build a system focused on student learning through high expectations, innovation, and overall collaboration. I encourage all students to get involved with
as many Spring school activities as possible (when and if they are allowed), to make a commitment to academic excellence, and to be a contributor to a positive school climate.
Our goal is to support each student at B-PC in having a safe and successful learning experience. The staff here at B-PC high school is nothing short of extraordinary, and we are fortunate to have a group of educators who believe all students can succeed and are dedicated to ensuring this happens. It is the emotional, educational, and academic needs of each student that drives our decisions and the implementation of our efforts. It is our mission to facilitate and challenge every student to be college and career ready by achieving his or her highest academic, social, and emotional potential.
Great things can and will happen at Bushnell-Prairie City High school if you are willing to put in
the time and effort. If 2020 has taught us anything it has taught us to not take anything for
granted. Webster defines the saying “take for granted” as a failure to properly appreciate
(someone or something), especially as a result of overfamiliarity. Is it possible for Webster, in a
year with so many understatements, to receive the Understatement-of-the-Year award with this
ageless definition? Be thankful for what you have, but never be satisfied with what you have
done. I am your Principal. I am here for YOU. Call or come see me anytime.
