A Skylert has been issued to our school community. It saddens us to share that today, Governor Pritzker announced a state-wide shelter in place and extended the closing of schools through Tuesday, April 7. For now, our current district calendar had staff and students returning on Monday, April 13 following our customary days of non-attendance surrounding Easter weekend. District administration will work with the Board of Education and state agencies to determine if a change is needed to bring students and staff back on Wednesday, April 8, which is the earliest day allowed under the current directive. Our hearts go out to our families struggling with childcare and work closures. I know teachers miss their students and everyone is ready to go back to school.
